counting down the days
FINALLY!
Only a couple of days left and we will be leaving Alaska for a while to go on our bike trip down to Oregon and California. I have never been to the west coast and I am very excited to sit on my bike every day and enjoy the scenery.
We pulled out all of our stuff yesterday and made a big list of things we need to take. Our apartment is a mess right now, it's a pretty one though. We asked Joe if he could come over and have a look at our stuff and give us some advice on what to take and what not to take. We packed our panniers full of the stuff and weighed the bags to see how much weight we will end up with and surprisingly......
Nicks bag was a little over 14 pounds and mine was 13 pounds. That includes all the camping gear, bike tools, spare tires etc., clothing, toiletries, maps. Extra weight will be water and food.
Only a few more things that need to get done before we can go. WEEEEEE
If you want to follow our bike tour, we have a different blog : http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/3493

mothers day at a flower shop
I finished school 2 weeks ago and am very happy to not have to worry about papers and exams. Before we leave on our bike trip I will be working full time at Bagoys (flower shop). Mothers day is coming up and it is very busy at the store. Everybody works overtime and tries to pump out as many arrangements as possible. It is kind of fun to see so many people working together to reach the same goal.
Only a couple of more days and it will be back to normal, then we can concentrate on preparing for our big trip. Weeeee
